Questions
Is the music on cozysongs really free?
Yes. Every song is by Purrple Cat and released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Stream it here or download the MP3s at no cost. The only condition is credit.
How do I credit the music?
Add this line wherever people will see it, such as a video description, stream panel or post caption: “Music: Purrple Cat (purrplecat.com), licensed under CC BY 4.0”. Naming the song title too is a nice extra.
Can I use these songs on YouTube, Twitch or TikTok?
Yes. Videos, livestreams, podcasts and social media posts are all fine with credit. The music is not registered in Content ID; if you ever get a claim on a credited Purrple Cat song, it is a mistake and can be cleared.
What am I not allowed to do?
Please do not re-upload the songs to music streaming services, and don't put remixes, samples or covers of them there either.
Why are there no lyrics?
Cozy playlists work best in the background. Every song here is instrumental, so it never competes with reading, talking or your own thoughts.
